Man accused of attacking another man with hammer in Moberly
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A man was charged after he was accused of attacking another man with a hammer on Sunday in Moberly.
Rex Barstow, 47, was charged with first-degree domestic assault and armed criminal action. Court records list his address as Columbia, but jail records say he is from Moberly. He is being held at the Randolph County Jail on a $100,000 bond. An arraignment is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The probable cause statement says that police responded to a residence after Barstow attacked the victim with a hammer. Police wrote that the victim had a 1-2 inch cut on his head and blood was seen all over his head and face.
The victim allegedly told police that Barstow went into the victim’s residence, barged into the victim’s bedroom and attacked him with the weapon.
