23-year-old man charged with first-degree murder in Morgan County stabbing

A 23-year-old man was charged over the weekend for the stabbing death of a 69-year-old man in Morgan County.
Codee Munson of Versailles was charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action in Morgan County on Saturday. Arraignment is set for Wednesday morning in Versailles.
Police found the victim, Carl Goodman, lying next to a truck in an alley near the West View Shopping Center off Westview Drive on Friday afternoon, bleeding from his neck, according to a probable statement. Witnesses identified the attacker as Munson, the statement says.
Officers found Munson in a motel room he was renting. The statement says Munson was on his knees with his hands above his head facing away from the door when police arrived.
Munson had cuts on his left hand and there was blood on the room's floor, the statement says.
Munson called 911 to report that he had just killed someone and claimed the victim was a terrorist, according to the statement. Police later found a knife with a 5.5-inch blade in Munson's room, the statement says.
