Man charged after allegedly threatening woman with gun at gas station

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Hallsville man was charged with multiple felonies after he allegedly threatened a woman at a Columbia Break Time.

Kenneth Jackson, 39, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, illegal gun possession, armed criminal action and fourth-degree assault, a misdemeanor. He is being held at the Boone County Jail without bond. A court date has not been scheduled.

According to the probable cause statement, a roommate of the victim allegedly let Jackson move in to their residence while the victim was not at home. Jackson allegedly dropped off another person at the Paris Road Break Time on Thursday and began driving back with the victim, the statement says.

Jackson allegedly fired a gun at a residence and into the air while driving the vehicle after the victim rejected his advances, the statement says. Jackson allegedly drove back into the Break Time and the victim got out of the vehicle to go into the convenient store, the statement says. Jackson then allegedly went into the store, shoved the victim and threatened her while holding a gun, the statement claims.

Security footage at the store appeared to showed Jackson shove the victim and an employee get in between the two, the statement says. Jackson is later seen pulling a gun from his pocket in the video, the statement claims.
