COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia police say they've arrested a man in connection with a shooting at a central city park.

Police arrested Marlon McCraney, 51, of Columbia, on suspicion of first-degree assault, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon and illegal gun possession in connection with the Nov. 12 shooting, according to a news release.

The shooting was reported at about 3:40 p.m. A woman was found at Douglass Park with gunshot wounds and taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said at the time.

McCraney was listed on the Boone County detainee roster as of early Saturday morning and is being held on no bond.
