Kansas City man charged with domestic assault in Cole County

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Kansas City man was charged on Wednesday after he allegedly assaulted a woman Tuesday in Jefferson City.

Latrail Erby, 35, was charged with first-degree domestic assault. He is being held at the Cole County Jail without bond. An arraignment is set for 10:30 a.m. Friday.

According to the probable cause statement, police were dispatched to St. Mary’s Hospital and spoke with the victim in the emergency room. Erby and the woman were at Erby’s mother’s residence and were arguing after the victim claimed they did not feel well, the statement says.

Erby allegedly became intoxicated and assaulted the victim, court documents say.

Court documents say that he was previously found guilty of domestic assault in 2009 in Jackson County.
