MGN

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Mexico, Missouri, man was charged on Thursday with several child sex crimes.

Christopher Lee Boyd, 30, was charged with three counts of first-degree statutory rape and three counts of statutory sodomy. A warrant was issued and no bond was set. A court date has not been scheduled. Court documents claim Boyd may have fled to the Philippines.

Police were first contacted about the assaults on Aug. 19 by the Army Criminal Investigation Division in Oklahoma, according to court documents.

According to the probable cause statement, Boyd had repeatedly sexually assaulted the child victim in multiple towns in Audrain County since 2021. The bond memo claims that Boyd may have also sexually assaulted the youth in other states, including Florida.
