JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two women were charged with three felonies and another was charged with a pair of misdemeanors after they were accused of attacking two people with baseball bats on Tuesday.

Takhia Criddle an Tania Townsend, both of Jefferson City, were charged with second-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action. They are being held at the Cole County Jail without bond.

Chantrice Hickman, of Jefferson City, was charged with fourth-degree assault and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors. She is also being held at the Cole County Jail without bond. ABC 17 News does not run mugshots of people who aren't charged with felonies. All three women have an arraignment scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday.

The probable cause statement refers to the women as defendants 1, 2 and 3, but court documents don’t make the identities of the women clear.

Police were called to the 500 block of Ellis Boulevard for a report of an assault and one of the women attacked one of the victims while he was giving a statement to police, court documents say. Another woman had allegedly run away while carrying a baseball bat, but tried to intervene when police tried arresting the women who punched the victim, court documents say.

The male victim allegedly told police that he stayed the night with the second victim, but lives with and has a child with one of the women who are charged, the statement says. The women showed up to the victim’s residence and “illegally evicted” the man, the statement says. An argument started and the victims allegedly followed the women back to the Ellis Boulevard residence, the statement says.

The three women allegedly surrounded the man’s vehicle when he arrived to the residence and started hitting his vehicle. The two occupants in the vehicle then stepped outside and two of the women allegedly hit them with baseball bats, the statement says. The women were allegedly seen hitting the victims on video, court documents claim.

The victims were hospitalized because of their injuries, the statement says.
