Woman shot at Douglass Park in Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A woman was rushed to a hospital after she was shot Tuesday afternoon in a central Columbia park.

Police at the scene did not provide the woman's name or age. Police were sent to Douglass Park at about 3:40 p.m. and found the injured woman and evidence that shots had been fired, Columbia Police Department Sgt. Ryan Brunstrom said.

At least 10 officers responded to the scene. Officers put up police tape around a pavilion.

The Columbia Fire Department also responded.
