COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Columbia man was charged with a pair of child sex crimes dating back to the 1980s.

Quinndale Allen Sr., 64, was charged with first-degree sex abuse and first-degree child molestation. He is being held at the Boone County Jail without bond. An initial court appearance is scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday by video from the jail.

According to the probable cause statement, more than one victim -- who varied in age -- told law enforcement Allen sexually assaulted them over the course of several years. The assaults took place from 1988-97, court documents say.

Allen then allegedly sexually assaulted another young victim in 2017, the statement says.
