Rolla man charged with eight child pornography counts
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Rolla man was charged Monday with eight counts of possessing child pornography in an investigation that began in late June.
Alan J. Stevenson was in the Phelps County Jail on Monday without bond. His first hearing is set for Tuesday.
A detective with the South Central Computer Crimes Task Force started looking into the case June 28 after getting a tip from the Missouri Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force about uploads of child pornography, according to a probable cause statement.
Investigators found that Stevenson had uploaded hundreds of images to the internet using multiple accounts, the statement says. A search took place at Stevenson's residence and office, Stevenson's A.M. Heating and Cooling, on Friday, the statement says. Investigators allegedly found more files on his phone.
