COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia police arrested a 25-year-old man early Friday after shots were fired along Clark Lane.

Officers were sent a little before 2 a.m. to the 4800 block of Clark Lane for shots fired, the Columbia Police Department says in a news release. Jalen Scuefield, 25, of Columbia, was arrested on suspicion of shooting a gun inside the city limits, police say.

Police found evidence of gunfire but no injuries or property damage, the release says.

No information about charges was available in online court records Friday afternoon.

An ABC 17 News crew saw officers searching the area and at least seven CPD vehicles at an apartment complex.

The scene cleared before 3 a.m.
