Child pornography suspect accused of locking kids in lockers
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
New charges of child abuse have been filed against a man who is in the Callaway County jail on child pornography charges.
Michael C. Jenkins, 32, of Auxvasse, formerly of Boonville, was charged Tuesday with two counts of child abuse of neglect, according to online court records. Boonville Police Department investigators interviewed three children who said Jenkins had put them in lockers while they lived in Boonville, according to a probable cause statement.
The lockers could not be opened from inside and the children told investigators that Jenkins enjoyed locking them in, the statement says. Jenkins also forced food into their mouths when they didn't want to eat, according to the statement.
The statement says the children accused Jenkins of having a camera set up in the bathroom, as well.
Jenkins allegedly told police that the children liked to play hide-and-seek with the lockers. He denied setting up a camera in the bathroom.
Jenkins has been in the Callaway County Jail since June on allegations that he possessed child pornography.
