WATCH: Indianapolis police hold news conference on rape, murder charges against Boone County man

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police hosted a news conference Tuesday afternoon to talk about the arrest of a Boone County man in a 1993 rape and murder case.

Dana Jermaine Shepherd, 52, faces charges in Marion County, Indiana, including two counts of murder and one count of rape "with deadly force" in the rape and death of Carmen Van Huss. Shepherd remained in the Boone County Jail on Tuesday while he awaits extradition to Indiana.
