FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Callaway County man was charged with rape and other felonies on Tuesday.
Randall Morgan, 22, of Williamsburg, was charged with first-degree rape, unlawful use of a weapon, third-degree domestic assault, tampering with a witness and second-degree property damage, a misdemeanor.
He is being held at the Callaway County Jail without bond. A court date has not been set.
According to the probable cause statement, deputies were called to a residence east of Fulton on Monday about an argument occurring with Morgan and the victim. The victim allegedly told deputies that Morgan pointed a gun at them and threatened to kill them before raping them, the statement says.
Morgan had allegedly denied the allegations before eventually saying that he was “playing” with the gun at the residence and claimed the sex was consensual, the statement says. Deputies noted in the probable cause statement that the victim had multiple injuries.
The victim had also allegedly snapped a quick photograph of Morgan holding the gun before the assault, the statement says. Morgan allegedly hit the phone out of the victim’s hand, the statement says. Deputies found a phone with a broken screen at the residence, the statement says.
