An Ashland man was charged with first-degree sodomy on Thursday.

Johnnie Tarl Riley, 48, was booked into the Boone County Jail at 10:02 p.m. Wednesday, according to jail records. He is being held without bond. A court date has not been set.

The probable cause statement claimed that Riley sexually assaulted the victim on Tuesday while they were in the kitchen at his residence. Court documents also claim that Riley has sent inappropriate text messages to the victim.

The victim allegedly told Ashland police that Riley “may be doing the same acts to other possibly underage girls,” according to the probable cause statement.
