A Warsaw, Missouri, woman was charged with two felonies after authorities say she stabbed her husband on Thursday.

Pamela Roberts, 56, was charged on Friday with first-degree domestic assault and armed criminal action. She is being held at the Benton County Jail on a $250,000 bond. An initial court appearance is scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Benton County Circuit Court.

According to the probable cause statement, deputies were called at 10:41 p.m. Thursday and saw the victim pinning Roberts when they arrived. The victim had two stab wounds in his back and was flown to a hospital, according to a social media post from the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.

Roberts allegedly admitted to stabbing the victim during an argument, the statement says. The victim allegedly told law enforcement that he walked by a lake with his dog, and Roberts was angry about him being gone for so long, the social media post says.

Roberts allegedly said that prior to the stabbing, she and her husband were drinking alcohol, court documents say. The victim told deputies that he believed Roberts could have killed him, court documents say.
