FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)

Four suspects are now in custody following a deadly shooting on Tuesday afternoon on Kathy Street in Fulton.

Emmanuel Brown, 20, Taeon Logan, 23, and Quiara Walton, 19, of Fulton all appeared on the Callaway County inmate roster Thursday morning. Walton is charged with first-degree murder, while Logan and Brown are charged with accessory first-degree murder for the shooting death of Jakien O. Braggs, 19, of Fulton, according to online court records.

A juvenile was taken into custody Wednesday in Boone County. No court hearings have been set.

Callaway County Prosecutor Benjamin Miller told ABC 17 News that two suspects are still at large, but he did not release their names.

"The Fulton Police Department along with assistance from the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office and Columbia Police Department have arrested 4 subjects on 07/17/2024, in relation to the homicide investigation on 07/16/2024. Two subjects were arrested in Fulton and two were arrested in Columbia," a Thursday evening press release from the Fulton Police Department says. "During the investigation multiple leads have been followed up on and 2 additional suspects have been developed.

"These suspects were near the scene at the time of the homicide. The identity of these suspects will not be released at this time to protect the integrity of the case."

Braggs was found dead on Kathy Street in Fulton Tuesday afternoon. Neighbors told ABC 17 News they saw him in the street with gunshot wounds, and at least one person saw him get shot.

Court documents say police received a screenshot of Walton’s Snapchat account, which apparently showed two messages sent to Braggs at 12:55 p.m., with one requesting he show up at a Kathy Street residence.

While speaking with police, a witness allegedly stated that Walton called them to say Braggs was dead, the statement says. Court documents say Walton “lured” Braggs to the area. Braggs was apparently driving to the residence and was “ambushed while driving,” the statement says.

A witness stated in court documents that "Suspect 1," Logan and the juvenile were waiting behind a vehicle while Braggs drove down the street. Those three then opened fire, according to the statement.

Braggs then got out of the vehicle and returned fire before he was shot to death, the statement says. Police found a gun and a live round near Braggs’ body, as well as 24 spent shell casings in the area, the statement says.

One of the probable cause statements says a witness told police that "Suspect 1" was adamant about wanting to shoot Braggs in the head three times. The statement also says Braggs' gun jammed during the exchange of gunfire.
