COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Columbia woman was charged with three felonies after she allegedly stabbed a man early Saturday in the parking lot of the Petro Mart on Scott Boulevard in Columbia.

Kejon Jenise Ellis, 25, was charged with first-degree domestic assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. She is being held at the Boone County Jail without bond. An initial court appearance was held on Monday.

According to the probable cause statement, Columbia police were called to the Petro Mart at around 1 a.m. after a man was stabbed near his ribs. Court documents claim that Ellis was in a fight with another person earlier in the night and that she had called the victim to pick her up.

The two then allegedly got into an argument and Ellis pulled out a knife while she was in the man’s vehicle and threatened to stab him, court documents say.

Ellis then allegedly started stabbing things in the vehicle. The victim pulled into the parking lot of the Petro Mart, court documents say. Ellis then got out of the vehicle, walked up to the driver side window and stabbed the victim, court documents say. The victim had recorded the beginning of the argument on his phone and Ellis was allegedly seen holding a knife, the probable cause statement says.

Multiple witnesses allegedly told police that they saw the two arguing and fighting, saw the man then got out of the vehicle with blood on his shirt and he allegedly said he was stabbed, court documents say. Witnesses also allegedly saw Ellis leave in a blue vehicle.

Security video from the gas station allegedly showed Ellis go up to the window and repeatedly hit the man, court documents say. The man then fell on the ground and Ellis left in a blue vehicle, the statement says.

Ellis also had a failure-to-appear warrant in a misdemeanor case where she was charged with driving without a license.
