QUESTION OF THE DAY: Should David Hosier have been executed?

A convicted Mid-Missouri murderer was put to death Tuesday.

The State of Missouri executed David Hosier by lethal injection a little after 6 p.m. at the Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center in Bonne Terre. Hosier was convicted in the murders of estranged husband and wife Rodney and Angela Gilpin and sentenced to death in 2013.

Hosier was Angela Gilpin's lover and prosecutors claimed he killed the married couple as they were trying to reconcile. Hosier maintained his innocence.
