Court docs: Oak Grove man charged after stabbing another man in the knee
MORGAN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)
An Oak Grove man was charged with four felonies after he allegedly stabbed another man in the knee early Wednesday in Morgan County.
Dana Ritchie, 27, was charged with first-degree burglary, first-degree domestic assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. He is being held at the Morgan County Jail on a $500,000 bond. A court date has not been set.
According to the probable cause statement, shortly after midnight on Wednesday, the Laurie Police Department was called about a domestic disturbance involving Ritchie.
Court documents state that the victim and Ritchie were on a porch talking about Ritchie possibly receiving counseling. Ritchie then allegedly “forcefully pushed the front door open and entered the residence without any permission,” court documents say.
Ritchie then allegedly grabbed a knife from the kitchen and started chasing the victim, the probable cause statement says. The victim then fell in a ditch while trying to run away and Ritchie stabbed him in the knee, court documents say. Police wrote that Ritchie had visible injuries “that appeared consistent with minor stab wounds.”
