An Eldon man was found guilty on Wednesday of multiple child sex crimes.

Joshua Steven Shackley, 45, was found guilty by a Miller County jury of two counts of first-degree statutory sodomy and one count of second-degree child molestation, according to a press release from the Miller County Prosecutor’s Office.

He is being held at the Miller County Jail. Shackley was charged in 2022 with three counts of statutory sodomy and one count of second-degree child molestation. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for July 10 at the Miller County Courthouse. Shackley faces a possible sentence of up to life in prison on each of the three separate counts, the release states.

The release states the jury took a little more than an hour to come to its decision. The victims were 10 and 12 years old at the time of the assaults, the release says.
