Editor's note: A previous version of this story identified the apartment complex as The Links. The standoff occurred at The Greens, which is in the same area.

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia police say they have arrested a man on Monday who allegedly robbed a Subway restaurant in the 5600 block of St. Charles Road.

Columbia Police Department Lt. Andy Muscato said the man – whose identity has not been stated – took cash from the restaurant after he pulled out a weapon, but did not clarify what type of weapon was shown. He then went to a nearby apartment complex. No injuries have been reported. Muscato said police were dispatched at 6:04 p.m. and that the man surrendered to police at The Greens apartment complex at 6:48 p.m.

No property damage was reported. Police were still searching the area near the apartment with K-9s at 7:50 p.m.

An ABC 17 News reporter saw at least 10 Columbia police vehicles at the scene for what appeared to be a standoff. The reporter saw police tape put up and heard officers trying to communicate with an individual to surrender. Police tape came down around 7:20 p.m. and residents at the building were allowed to enter their apartments again.
