A Chamois man was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Monday after he pleaded guilty in July to producing child pornography, according to a press release from the Department of Justice.

Dylan Joseph Minor, 27, was sentenced to 15 years without parole and will be required to register as a sex offender when he is released. He pleaded guilty on July 20, 2023.

The release states that a detective with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department received a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children on Oct. 14, 2022. The tip indicated that a user on the social media application Kik had uploaded several images of suspected child porn.

On Oct. 17, 2022, law enforcement executed a search warrant at Minor’s residence. Minor then admitted that he had taken pornographic photos of the child victim and traded them with others on Kik, the release states. Law enforcement analyzed two cell phones and found thousands of images and more than 100 videos depicting child pornography, the release states.
