An Eldon man was charged on Saturday with second-degree sodomy.

Trace Glassmeyer, 19, is being held at the Miller County Jail on a $25,000 bond.  An arraignment was held on Monday and a case review was set for 9 a.m. Monday, April 8, at the Miller County Courthouse.

According to the probable cause statement, the victim reported a sexual assault to law enforcement on Wednesday, March 27. A forensic interview was held at the Kid’s Harbor Advocacy Center in Osage Beach and alleged that Glassmeyer sexually assaulted them while they were intoxicated.

Glassmeyer was arrested on Saturday and denied sexually assaulting the victim, the statement says. Court documents say Glassmeyer told law enforcement that he and the victim were at the same location the victim described to investigators and that he was alone in a bathroom with the victim. Glassmeyer also allegedly told law enforcement that he consumed alcohol and the victim was intoxicated, the statement says.
