A woman was arrested on Thursday after she was accused of shooting at a man near the intersection of Spencer Avenue and Patsy Lane.

Katasia W. Taylor, 30 , of Columbia, was charged with first-degree domestic assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. She is being held at the Boone County Jail on a $50,000 bond. A court date has not been set. Columbia Police Department spokeswoman Jenny Hopper told ABC 17 News in an email that she was arrested with Tarrence Davis; however, Davis was not listed on the Boone County Jail roster or its 0700 report and charges have not appeared on Casenet. Hopper stated the victim was a man.

According to the probable cause statement, the victim allegedly told police he was returning a red Dodge Durango he took earlier in the day from Taylor. The victim claimed when he went to return the vehicle at a residence on Spencer Avenue, Taylor was sitting in another red vehicle and began throwing items into the street, the probable cause statement says.

The heavily redacted probable cause statement makes a reference to other people associated with Taylor getting in a brief fight before Taylor grabbed the gun and fired a shot at the victim, but missed. The victim started to run away, the statement says. Police reported no injuries or property damage on Thursday. The statement says police found a shell casing at the scene.

Police found Taylor driving the Dodge near Again Street Park, as well as ammunition that apparently matched the shell casing found on Spencer Avenue, the statement says. Court documents say Taylor allegedly told police that the victim stole the vehicle earlier that morning.
