St. Charles man charged with rape, sodomy in Phelps County
ROLLA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A St. Charles man was charged on Thursday with rape, sodomy and other felonies.
Iyan Taron Hubbard, 19, was charged with first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy, second-degree domestic assault and the sexual exploitation of a minor child. He is being held in the Phelps County Jail without bond. A confined docket hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Phelps County Courthouse.
According to the probable cause statement, Hubbard moved into a residence where the teenager lived in either July or August 2023. He allegedly first assaulted the victim before sexually assaulting them, the statement says. Hubbard allegedly filmed the incident on a cellphone.
The teenager’s mother then filed a restraining order against Hubbard on Jan. 29 and Hubbard moved to St. Louis, court documents say. Hubbard then allegedly returned to the residence on Jan. 31 to take the youth to St. Louis, and she was “returned” on Feb. 24, the statement says.
The youth spoke with law enforcement and stated Hubbard had been using their cellphone, the statement says. Law enforcement sound several videos of “sexual acts” between the two that were dated between September and November, with the location showing it occurred in Rolla, the statement says.
