St. Elizabeth man charged with child porn possession
MILLER COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)
A St. Elizabeth man was charged on Monday with child porn possession.
Dylan Alexander Ash, 21, is being held at the Miller County Jail on a $50,000 bond. A hearing was held Wednesday and a case review is set for 9 a.m. Monday, April 8.
The probable cause statement says the Miller County Sheriff’s Office received a tip on Sept. 27 from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about child pornography being shared in direct messages on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.
A search warrant was conducted at Ash’s residence on Jan. 4, where law enforcement took a laptop, iPhone and iPad that was owned by Ash, the statement says. On Jan. 9, another warrant was obtained to look through the devices and they were brought to the Missouri Digital Forensic Center in Jefferson City, the statement says.
A final report was sent on Feb. 20, which indicated 255 images of child pornography and additional video files were found, the statement says.
