Lake Ozark man charged with child porn possession
CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Lake Ozark man was charged on Wednesday with four counts of possessing child pornography.
Tom William Lobis was arrested on Tuesday, according to the probable cause statement. He was initially held in the Camden County Jail without bond, but the bond was amended to $250,000 on Friday. A case review is set for 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 9.
The probable cause statement says the Camden County Sheriff’s Office received a Cyber Tipline Report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about someone uploading suspected child pornography on Dec. 24. The report indicated images were uploaded to a Verizon cloud storage account associated with Lobis, the statement says.
The report indicated 27 images of child porn were uploaded and a detective confirmed it, the statement says. Another Cyber Tipline Report on Jan. 29 indicated another 65 images of child porn were uploaded on Dec. 26. The detective obtained a search warrant to view data stored in the Verizon account. There were 6,685 images in the account and “a large amount” contained child pornography, according to the statement.
