Washington man charged with kidnapping Rolla child
ROLLA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A man from the state of Washington was charged on Wednesday with kidnapping a child and trying to bring her to Washington.
Oasis Wilson Everson, 20, was arrested in Atchison, Kansas, on Tuesday after kidnapping a 13-year-old girl from a parking lot in the 800 block of Avon Court in Rolla, according to the probable cause statement. Court documents say Everson and the girl were found at the Hotel Eastin Atchison on Tuesday.
Court documents claim that Everson traveled from Washington to take the girl and bring her back to that state.
A warrant was issued and a $500,000 bond was set. Everson is currently in the Atchison County Jail. Jail records indicate that Everson is also accused of rape and statutory rape. The probable cause statement from Phelps County says Everson “engaged in sexual intercourse with Minor Female.” Court records from that Atchison County for this case were not immediately available.
