House in Boonville shot, no injuries reported

BOONVILLE, Mo. (KMIZ)

A house in the 500 block of Katy Drive in Boonville was hit with bullets on Tuesday afternoon, according to a press release from the Boonville Police Department.

Several law enforcement agencies responded to a shots fired call at 3:15 p.m. The person who shot the gun ran into a house and a standoff ensued, according to the release. Police described the only person in the house as a "juvenile," who eventually came out of the house and was "secured by officers."

No injuries were reported. Police say suspects have been identified and a man was arrested.

The release states that the investigation is ongoing.

A Boonville Schools bus was delayed Tuesday afternoon because of the police scene, according to a message sent to families from the school district.

Bus 9 was unable to drop students off at Kemper Village in western Boonville after police told the schools about a potentially dangerous situation in that area, according to a notice sent to families. Students and staff were then picked up by parents at Laura Speed Elliott Elementary, an update to the message says.
