A Fulton man who was found guilty of several counts of statutory sodomy was sentenced on Monday to 160 years in prison.

Daniel Overstreet, 52, was found guilty in November of seven counts of first-degree statutory sodomy and one count of first-degree attempted sodomy.

According to a press release from Callaway County Prosecutor Benjamin Miller, Overstreet molested three children who were in his care from 2013-17.

“"I cannot praise our local multi-disciplinary team enough for helping ensure justice was served for the victims in this case. It is the hard work of many highly skilled professionals from multiple agencies (Fulton Police Department, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office, Missouri Children’s Division, The Rainbow House, and MU Healthcare) that makes prosecuting these extraordinarily difficult cases possible,” Miller stated in the release.

According to previous reporting, the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office stated in a press release that Overstreet was accused of several instances of statutory sodomy between 2011-16, and that a female victim reported him to the Fulton Police Department in 2020.

Overstreet is a registered sex offender and previously pleaded guilty to second-degree statutory sodomy and second-degree statutory rape on Oct. 15, 2001, according to court records. He was sentenced to four years in prison for those charges, according to previous reporting.
