Cameron man found guilty of assault, other felonies in Camden County
CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Cameron man who was accused of assaulting two women in 2021 in Camden County was found guilty of three felonies on Tuesday.
Dustin Burkhart, 40, was found guilty of first-degree assault, first-degree burglary and armed criminal action. His sentencing will take place 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 9. He was previously charged with first-degree assault, first-degree burglary, second-degree domestic assault and armed criminal action.
According to previous reporting, he was accused of attacking two women on Dec. 17, 2021, at a home in the 100 block of North Dale Drive in Camdenton. Burkhart allegedly punched both women repeatedly in the face because he thought they were stealing from him.
In another case, he is charged with drug possession and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. A hearing in that case will be held at the same time as his sentencing for assault and burglary charges, according to Casenet.
