Audrain County man sentenced 50 years for child porn charges
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
An Audrain County man was sentenced on Wednesday in federal court to 50 years in prison.
William Dahl was convicted in September on one count of producing and two counts of receiving child pornography. His sentence will run consecutively to any sentences pending in Audrain and Randolph counties. Following his release, he will be on supervised probation for the rest of his life, according to a court spokesman.
The victims were 14, 16 and 7 years old when the crimes were committed, according to previous reporting.
According to previous reporting, Dahl took pictures of one in the Moberly cemetery and sent images of his genitals to her and images of her to others, according to a judge’s order. He exchanged nude photos with a 16-year-old and gave her a cellphone, alcohol and vaping pods.
In one active case in Audrain County, Dahl is charged with first-degree statutory rape, statutory sodomy and first-degree child molestation. In another case, he is charged with forcible rape and attempted forcible rape.
A disposition hearing for both cases is set for 9 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13.
In Randolph County, he is charged with three counts of first-degree statutory rape and one count of first-degree child molestation. The next court date for that case has not been set.
