Callaway County man found guilty of seven counts of statutory sodomy

FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Callaway County man was found guilty of seven counts of first-degree statutory and one count of first-degree attempted sodomy, according to a social media post from the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office.

Daniel Overstreet, 52, of Fulton, will be sentenced on Monday, Jan. 8, according to the post. Casenet has yet to update.

The sheriff’s office stated that Overstreet was accused of several instances of statutory sodomy between 2011-16, and that a female victim reported him to the Fulton Police Department in 2020.

Overstreet is a registered sex offender and previously pleaded guilty to second-degree statutory sodomy and second-degree statutory rape on Oct. 15, 2001, according to court records. He was sentenced to four years in prison for those charges.
