Jefferson City man faces child porn charges
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Jefferson City man was charged on Thursday with multiple charges related to child pornography.
Justin Loafman, 26, was charged with child porn possession and first-degree promoting child pornography. A warrant was issued on Thursday and no bond was set. An arraignment was set for 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Cole County Circuit Court.
According to the probable cause statement, the Boone County Sheriff’s Office Cyber Crimes Task Force received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that it had received a complaint from the social media application Snapchat about child pornography being uploaded.
An email address of the account holder was provided to law enforcement, as well as an IP address, the statement says. The IP address was registered to Loafman’s address, the statement says.
Loafman allegedly admitted to owning the email address and Snapchart account, as well as sharing child porn on the application, the statement says.
