Sedalia man faces several child porn charges in Johnson County
KNOB KNOSTER, Mo. (KMIZ)
An arraignment was held Monday for a Sedalia man accused of having child pornography in Johnson County.
Frank Jenkins, 35, was charged with first-degree promoting child pornography, three counts of having child pornography and tampering with physical evidence in a felony prosecution. He is being held at the Johnson County Jail on a $50,000 bond. He was booked into the jail at 8 a.m. Thursday.
Jenkins appeared for an arraignment hearing Monday by video from the jail.
According to a press release from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, investigators received a tip in March from a website indicating a user uploaded and shared suspected child pornography from a residence in Knob Knoster. Jenkins works in Knob Knoster, according to the release.
Jenkins was interviewed by law enforcement on Thursday, where he allegedly admitted to having child pornography on his phone, according to the release. Law enforcement found files containing child porn on his cellphone, according to the release.
