Jefferson City man accused of several child sex crimes in Morgan County

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Jefferson City man was charged on Monday with nearly a half-dozen child sex crimes in Morgan County.

Daniel Wayne Albert Sr. was charged with second-degree child molestation, sexual misconduct involving a child, furnishing pornographic material to a minor, first-degree statutory rape and first-degree endangering the welfare of a child. A warrant was issued for his arrest on Monday and no bond was set. He was not listed on the Morgan County jail roster on Monday.

Two probable cause statements were filed. One young victim described an alleged sexual assault to law enforcement where Albert touched her in “an area that is not supposed to be touched,” according to the probable cause statement. The interview occurred in March 2022 and the assault occurred between a period of June 2021-August 2021, according to the statement.

A second victim told law enforcement that they were raped by Albert during the same period of time, the statement says. Albert allegedly threatened to kill the victim, their mother and sibling, and also made the victim use methamphetamine, the statement says.
