JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Centertown woman was charged after allegedly stealing $2,565.75 worth off merchandise from her Jefferson City employer, according to a probable cause statement.
Abigail Haslag, 26, was charged with stealing more than $750. She was in custody at the Cole County Jail on Friday. Jail officials declined to confirm if she was still in the jail on Monday. An arraignment was set for Monday. Her next court date was not available.
According to the probable cause statement, Jefferson City police officers were called on Aug. 9 to Vapor Maven on Route C for a reported employee theft that occurred the night before.

Another employee – who wasn’t named in the statement -- was allegedly seen leaving the room with full trash cans. The items weren’t found in nearby trashcans or dumpsters, the statement says.
Inventory was taken at the story and $2,565.75 worth of stolen items were reported, the statement says.
