Jefferson City woman accused in November 2022 shooting pleads guilty
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Jefferson City woman accused of shooting a woman in the leg this past November has pleaded guilty to first-degree assault, according to the Cole County prosecutor.
Victoria Crumble, 41, pleaded guilty to first-degree assault, Prosecutor Locke Thompson told ABC 17 News in an email. She was previously charged with first-degree assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.
According to previous reporting, Jefferson City police were called to 807 Stadium Boulevard just before 1 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, following reports of someone being shot. Police found a spent .380 caliber shell casing and one live round in the parking lot.
A gunshot victim was brought to an area hospital with a wound on her leg, according to the probable cause statement.
Crumble allegedly told police that she was exposed to mace and shot the woman. She gave up the gun to police. The woman with the gunshot wound said she and Crumble got into some form of an altercation and after it stopped, Crumble shot her.
A jury trial was originally scheduled for this week. A sentencing hearing date was not released.
