Blair Oaks paraprofessional accused of statutory sodomy

WARDSVILLE, Mo. (KMIZ)

A paraprofessional employed by the Blair Oaks R-2 School District has been accused of sexually assaulting a student during the summer of 2022.

Dylan T. Kivett, 22, of Jefferson City, was charged Saturday with second-degree statutory sodomy. He is being held without bond at the Cole County Jail and had an arraignment set for Monday.

The victim told police they met Kivett while working on a school play at the high school, according to the probable cause statement. The victim allegedly told police they “dated” Kivett from June-August 2022. The victim stated all correspondence with Kivett occurred over the social media application Snapchat.

According to the probable cause statement, the victim stated they and Kivett would regularly meet in the woods near a park.

Police interviewed Kivett and he allegedly lied about having contact with the victim, but eventually admitted to “dating” the victim and having physical contact, the probable cause statement says.
