Man accused of setting fire to garage, shooting into home and leading law enforcement on 16-hour manhunt in June faces more charges

A Columbia man who was arrested in June following a 16-hour manhunt is facing more charges.

Brandt Feutz, 34, is facing several felony charges following a grandy jury indictment on Friday. He is now charged with second-degree arson, first-degree harassment, two counts of resisting arrest, unlawful gun possession, unlawful use of a weapon and armed-criminal action.

He is being held without bond by the Missouri Department of Corrections. He was previously held in the Boone County Jail. An arraignment is set for 8:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 18, at the Boone County Courthouse.

Residents were asked to shelter in place for more than three hours June 29 as the Columbia Police Department searched the neighborhood of Old Hawthorne and surrounding areas. Feutz was found on the north side of Boone County hiding in a residence, according to police.

Police searched for Feutz after he allegedly shot multiple bullets into his mother's home June 28. In the morning of the same day, he allegedly set fire to his mother's garage in the 600 block of Huntridge Drive.

He was also charged with third-degree domestic assault in Camden County. A request for a speedy trial was filed July 14. An initial appearance is set for 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21, at the Camden County
