Moniteau County man sentenced to life in prison for murder charge

CALIFORNIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A California, Missouri, man who pleaded guilty to murder and other charges in May was sentenced on Monday.

Ethan Bondurant, 20, pleaded guilty on May 1 to second-degree murder, two counts of armed-criminal action, two counts of first-degree assault and one count of second-degree assault.

Boundurant was sentenced to life in prison on multiple counts.

He was initially charged with first-degree murder, four counts of armed criminal action, two counts of first-degree assault, one count of second-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon and fourth-degree assault, according to the sheriff's office.

According to previous reporting, a probable cause statement said Bondurant shot a 20-year-old man to death and injured three others on Feb. 10, 2022.
