Woman accused of stealing from nursing home residents posts bond, has August court date

ELDON, Mo. (KMIZ)
An Iberia woman who is accused of stealing from an elder care posted bond this week and has a new court date set.
Lee Ann Maylee, 45, is charged with stealing a gun and seven counts of stealing more than $750. She was held in the Miller County Jail and posted a $100,000 surety bond Monday, according to court records.
An arraignment is set for 9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16 at the Miller County Courthouse.
Eldon police responded to a call at Eldon Nursing and Rehab on May 21, 2021, for a fraud investigation. Maylee allegedly had access to cred and debit card information of a number of residents at the facility. She allegedly used the cards for several transactions totaling more than $50,000, according to the probable cause statement.
According to the probable cause statement, purchases from various cards occurred from January-May 2021 to buy items such as a gun, timeshare property, payments on auto loans, thousands of dollar of retail purchases and more.
