WELLSVILLE, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office stated on its Facebook page Monday that someone destroyed a "large amount of corn crop," in Wellsville over the weekend.

The sheriff's office stated about $6,000 of corn crop was destroyed. The corn field is located off of Route AA near Red Barn Road.

The sheriff's office updated the post at 8 p.m. Monday to say a possible suspect is in custody.
