Columbia man accused of burglary, assault arrested in St. Louis area
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Columbia man who is accused of pulling a weapon on someone and having a standoff with Columbia police in June was arrested in the St. Louis area, according to a Thursday social media post by the Columbia Police Department.
Jaytaj Moore, 21, is charged with first-degree burglary, armed-criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, resisting arrest, fourth-degree domestic assault and two counts of fourth-degree assault. An arraignment is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, July 31, at the Boone County Courthouse. He is not yet in the Boone County Jail, according to online records.
An alleged victim called Boone County Joint Communications stating Moore was pointing a gun at him Sunday, June 18, according to a heavily redacted probable cause statement. Moore had left the scene before police arrived.
The probable cause statement says Moore was arrested earlier on June 18 and -- according to jail records -- was released on bond.
Moore allegedly pulled a gun on someone, waived it and entered a residence to look for someone before leaving. Police had a standoff with Moore at his residence later, but he was not detained then.
In another case, Moore is charged with second-degree domestic assault and tampering with a victim in a felony prosecution. An arraignment in that case is set for 9 a.m. Monday, July 24.
