COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A man was charged in Boone County with multiple sexual assault charges Tuesday after being accused of an alleged sexual assault from January 2022.

Dayvion Robinson, 23, is charged with first-degree sodomy and first-degree sexual abuse. A warrant was requested and no bond was set. Robinson is not in custody.

Columbia Police met with the alleged victim on June 13, 2022 for a report of sexual assault that occurred on Jan. 9, 2022, according to the probable cause statement.

The victim told police in June 2022 that there was a delay in the reporting due to an active Title IX investigation, according to the probable cause statement.

The victim said they knew Robinson for three years and they tailgated on Jan. 8, 2022.

The two allegedly went back to a residence and fell asleep on the floor. The victim awoke to be assaulted by Robinson, the probable cause statement says.
