Columbia man charged after allegedly stabbing another

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Columbia man was charged after allegedly stabbing another man Saturday.

Tyrone Seals, 51, is charged with first-degree assault and armed-criminal action. He is being held without bond at the Boone County Jail. An initial court appearance was held Monday, where Seals appeared by video from the jail. A confined docket hearing is set for 1 p.m. Wednesday, while a preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Thursday, July 27.

A man was found near Turning Point Day Center with a stab wound and was brought to University Hospital. The man told police that he was near a homeless camp by Ashley Street, saw a bicycle and took it, according to the probable cause statement.

He and another person arrived at Turning Point when he was confronted by Seals, according to the probable cause statement. Seals allegedly said the bike belonged to him. An argument ensued and Seals allegedly stabbed the man, the statement says.
