LOHMAN, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Cole County woman has been charged with three counts of second-degree arson after she was accused of setting fire to a residence, two barns and a yard on Saturday.

A warrant was issued Tuesday for Diana Anne Beasley, 50, of Lohman, and no bond is set. She is not in custody, according to the Cole County Sheriff’s Office.

The probable cause statement says a fire occurred in a residential structure. The fire consumed the residence, causing substantial damage and displacing the people who lived there, according to the statement.

Another fire was started in a horse barn and destroyed the structure, and another fire was found in a turkey barn, according to the statement. Hospital discharge paperwork that included Beasley’s name was found at the turkey barn.

Another fire was observed by fire officials in a yard between the residence and turkey barn. Envelopes including Beasley’s name were also found in that area, according to the probable cause statement.

A vehicle belonging to another woman was found at the scene. The owner of the vehicle said she and Beasley swapped vehicles the day before, according to the probable cause statement.

The owner of the residence allegedly told Missouri Division of Fire Safety officials that they saw Beasley on their doorbell about 20 minutes before arriving home and seeing the fire, according to the probable cause statement. They also claimed to see Beasley go around the side of one of the barns, and when she came back in view, the grass was on fire.

Beasley allegedly admitted to fire officials that she set the fires on the property, according to the statement.
