A Columbia man faces several felony charges following a standoff with Columbia Police.

Jaytaj Moore, 21, is charged with first-degree burglary, armed-criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, resisting arrest, fourth-degree domestic assault and two counts of fourth-degree assault. A warrant was ordered Monday.

He is not listed on the Boone County Jail roster at last check.

An alleged victim called Boone County Joint Communications stating Moore was pointing a gun at him Sunday evening, according to a heavily redacted probable cause statement. Moore had left the scene before police arrived.

The probable cause statement says Moore was arrested earlier on Sunday on accusations of third-degree domestic assault and resisting arrest, according to jail records. He was booked at 4:45 p.m. Sunday, according to jail records, and was released on bond, which was listed at $1,500.

The victim told police that Moore tracked their phone and went outside to give him the phone, according to the probable cause statement. Moore then allegedly pulled out a gun and threatened the victim’s life. Moore than began knocking on apartment doors to look for a person whose name was redacted in the probable cause statement.

One person tried to prevent Moore from going inside, the statement says. Moore than allegedly pulled out a gun, waived it, entered the residence and looked for someone before leaving.

Columbia Police officers eventually located Moore at his residence and a standoff continued into Monday morning. The end of the standoff was not detailed in the probable cause statement.

In another case, Moore is charged with second-degree domestic assault and tampering with a victim. A counsel status hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 28 at the Boone County Courthouse, while a preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. on Thursday, July 27.
