Woman arrested for DWI after suffering serious injuries in Miller County crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Miller County woman was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and not driving on the right side of the road after she crashed her SUV late Tuesday.

Cassandra Tidwell, 37, suffered serious injuries when her Chevy Suburban went off the road and hit two embankments at Highway 42 and Brays Church Road northeast of Iberia, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. She was taken by helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia.

Troopers arrested Tidwell before releasing her to medical personnel, according to a highway patrol arrest report.

Information about charges was not available Wednesday in online court records.
